In a hard-fought battle last night, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2. The game, held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado, saw the Utes outshooting the Bobcats 38-31.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed tenacity throughout the game. Goalie Reese McConnell made an impressive 33 saves against the 38 shots he faced. Unfortunately, Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano was equally up to the task, saving 29 out of 31 shots.

While the Bobcats had two powerplay opportunities, they were unable to convert either into a goal. The Utes did not have any powerplay chances.

Highlighting the scoring for the Bobcats was #18 Elly Aldrich, who netted one goal. For the Utes, #12 Morgan Lavalley was the standout player with two goals.
