The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The final score was a disappointing 7-1 defeat for the Bobcats on February 21, 2026.

The Antelopes dominated the game with an impressive 64 shots, compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats’ defense struggled to contain the relentless attack from the Antelopes, with goalie Emma Carlson facing a barrage of shots. Despite making 57 saves, the sheer number of attempts by the Antelopes proved too much.

The Bobcats’ offense had a difficult time as well, with Marin Snyder (#20) scoring the only goal for the team. The power play unit was unable to capitalize on their opportunities, going 0 for 2.

On the other hand, the Antelopes’ power play was more effective, scoring once in their three attempts. The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ Jennae Szucs (#12), who netted a hat trick.

Antelopes’ goalie Annika Olson had a comparatively quiet night, facing 19 shots and making 18 saves.

Despite the tough loss, the Bobcats will regroup and look to bounce back in their next game. The team’s spirit remains unbroken and they continue to train hard, ready to face their next challenge.
