The Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the University of Utah Utes in a tough matchup at Haynes Pavilion on Friday, October 11, 2024. Unfortunately, the Bobcats fell short with a final score of Utes 6 – Bobcats 0.

The Utes came out strong, dominating the game with 34 shots on goal compared to the Bobcats’ 11 shots. Their powerplay was also effective, converting 2 out of 3 opportunities, while the Bobcats were unable to capitalize on their powerplay chances, going 0 for 3.

In the net, Utes goalie Caroline Steegmans put on a solid performance, stopping all 11 shots she faced. On the Bobcats’ side, Kate Harris faced a barrage of 34 shots, making an impressive 28 saves to keep her team in the game.

The standout player of the night was Utes’ #11 Halle Hansen, who netted an incredible 4 goals to lead her team to victory. On the Bobcats’ side, Maya Griffin spent 2 penalty minutes in the box, showing her competitiveness and determination on the ice.

Although the outcome wasn’t what the Bobcats had hoped for, they can take this game as a learning experience and a chance to regroup for their next matchup. With hard work and determination, the Bobcats will bounce back stronger in their future games.
