In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, the Montana State University Bobcats secured a decisive 5-1 win against the University of Wyoming Pokes at the Laramie Ice & Events Center on October 3rd, 2025.

The Bobcats dominated the game from the start, taking a total of 46 shots compared to the Pokes’ 21. The Bobcats’ offensive pressure was relentless, leading to a powerplay conversion rate of 1/9. The Pokes, on the other hand, couldn’t capitalize on any of their 7 powerplay opportunities, highlighting the Bobcats’ strong defensive performance.

Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, put on an outstanding performance, saving 20 out of the 21 shots he faced. The Pokes’ goalie, Alayna Smith, had a challenging night, saving only 10 out of the 46 shots she faced.
