In a thrilling match last night, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the University of Colorado Buffaloes with a final score of 3-1. The game, which took place at Haynes Pavilion, was a true showcase of the Bobcats’ tenacity and skill.
The Buffaloes, despite having more shots at 32 against the Bobcats’ 26, were unable to capitalize on their attempts. Both teams had four powerplays each, but neither was able to score during these opportunities.
The goalkeeping from both sides was exceptional. The Buffaloes’ goalie, Zoe Watson, managed to save 23 out of 26 shots. However, it was Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, who shone brighter, saving a remarkable 31 out of 32 shots.
The star of the night was undoubtedly the Bobcats’ Nicola Roberts (#26), who scored two of the three goals for her team. The Buffaloes’ only goal was scored by Anna Masiello (#6).
The Bobcats will seek to carry this momentum into their next game, which is an away match against the University of Washington on Friday, October 24th at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Washington.
