In a thrilling showdown at Haynes Pavilion on Sunday night, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 3-2.

The Bobcats and Utes, both renowned for their aggressive gameplay, kept spectators on the edge of their seats throughout the match. The Utes fired 40 shots at the Bobcats’ goal, but Reese McConnell, the Bobcats’ goalie, skillfully saved 38 of them. On the other side, the Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, faced 42 shots and managed to save 39.

While both teams had equal powerplay opportunities (4 each), the Bobcats capitalized on one of them, giving them a slight edge over the Utes, who couldn’t convert any of their powerplays.

The Bobcats’ victory was further cemented by #9 Grace Cheney, who provided two crucial assists. On the Utes’ side, #25 Cassandra Haley managed to score a goal, but it wasn’t enough to tilt the balance in their favor.
