The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging night as they hosted the University of Utah Utes at Haynes Pavilion. Despite a spirited performance, the Bobcats fell to the Utes with a final score of 4-2.
The Utes outshot the Bobcats 42-33, maintaining a steady pressure on the Bobcats’ defense throughout the game. However, the Bobcats’ goalie, Emma Carlson, put up a commendable effort, saving 38 out of 42 shots.
On the other side of the rink, Utes’ goalie Keyauna Robinson-Prefontaine was also on top of her game, saving 31 out of 33 shots. The Bobcats’ powerplay managed to convert 1 out of 4 opportunities, while the Utes were unable to capitalize on any of their six powerplays.
Utes’ #20 Ashley Paterson was the standout player of the night, scoring two crucial goals. For the Bobcats, #19 Aziana Schacht managed to find the back of the net once.
