The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the University of Utah Utes last night at Haynes Pavilion, ending with a final score of Utes 4, Bobcats 2.

The Utes were relentless, with a total of 42 shots against our Bobcats who managed 33 shots. Despite the disparity in shot numbers, the Bobcats put up a strong defense with goalie Emma Carlson saving 38 out of 42 shots. On the Utes side, goalie Keyauna Robinson-Prefontaine saved 31 out of 33 shots.

In terms of powerplay, the Bobcats had a slight edge with 1 out of 4 successful attempts, while the Utes couldn’t capitalize on any of their 6 powerplay opportunities.

The star of the match was undoubtedly Utes’ #20 Ashley Paterson, scoring two goals. For the Bobcats, #29 Paiton Miller managed to put one in the net.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats are determined to come back stronger in their next game. They will be facing off against Colorado State University on Friday, January 23, at Haynes Pavilion. We hope to see you there, cheering on our Bobcats!
