Last night, the Montana State University Bobcats delivered a stunning performance against the Colorado State University Rams, ending the game with a decisive 4-1 victory. The match took place at the Haynes Pavilion, where both teams battled fiercely for the win.
Despite the Rams firing off a total of 39 shots, the Bobcats’ defense held strong, allowing only one goal. Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had a fantastic game, making 38 saves out of 39 shots. On the other side, Rams’ goalie, Morgan Neibauer, managed to make 29 saves out of 33 shots.
The Bobcats showed their offensive prowess, scoring four goals on 33 shots. Bobcats’ player, Maeve Kelleher, scored one of the goals, boosting the team’s morale and contributing to the overall victory.
In contrast, the Rams struggled to find the back of the net. Elan Forde, wearing jersey #11, managed to score the only goal for the Rams, despite their numerous attempts.
Neither team managed to capitalize on their powerplays, with the Rams going 0/4 and the Bobcats 0/2. Despite this, the Bobcats’ strong defensive performance and relentless offense led them to victory.
The Bobcats’ next game is a home match against the Colorado State University Rams on Saturday, January 24, at Haynes Pavilion. It promises to be another exciting game, and we hope to see you there supporting our Bobcats.
