In a thrilling match at the Haynes Pavilion on February 6th, the Montana State University Bobcats showcased their skills and defeated the University of Wyoming Pokes with a resounding 9-3 victory.

The Bobcats were relentless from the start, outshooting the Pokes by a staggering 58-32. Despite the Pokes’ efforts, their powerplay remained ineffective, failing to convert on any of their five opportunities. The Bobcats, although they didn’t fare much better with their powerplay, going 0/3, they compensated with their aggressive play and superior shot count.

The Pokes’ goalie, Alayna Smith, had a busy night, facing 58 shots and making 49 saves. On the other end, the Bobcats’ Emma Carlson had a comparatively easier night, facing 32 shots and making 29 saves.

In the midst of the Bobcats’ offensive onslaught, Pokes’ #40, Lena Roubinek, managed to score 2 goals. However, the star of the night was undoubtedly the Bobcats’ #19, Aziana Schacht, who provided 4 assists, playing a crucial part in the Bobcats’ victory.

The Bobcats look to carry this momentum into their next game, a home match against the University of Wyoming on Saturday, February 7th at the Haynes Pavilion. With their current form, it promises to be another exciting game.
