The Montana State University Bobcats delivered a stunning performance last night, defeating the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 9-3. The game, held at Haynes Pavilion, saw the Bobcats dominate the ice with a total of 58 shots compared to the Pokes’ 32.

Despite having more powerplays, the Pokes were unable to capitalize on any of their 5 opportunities. The Bobcats also failed to convert their 3 powerplays, but their superior shot count more than made up for it.

In the goalie matchup, Bobcats’ Emma Carlson faced off against Pokes’ Alayna Smith. Smith had a busy night, with 58 shots coming her way, of which she saved 49. Carlson, on the other hand, saved 29 out of the 32 shots she faced.

The Pokes did have a bright spot in Lena Roubinek, who managed to score 2 goals. However, the night belonged to Bobcats’ Aziana Schacht, who assisted 4 of the 9 Bobcats’ goals.

Looking ahead, the Bobcats will be hosting the Pokes again on Saturday, Feb 7 at Haynes Pavilion. After this impressive win, the Bobcats will be looking to continue their winning streak.
