The Montana State University Bobcats delivered an impressive performance at Haynes Pavilion on February 7th, 2026, defeating the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1.

Despite the Pokes having a higher shot count at 55 compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats were more efficient in finding the back of the net. Bobcats’ goalkeeping was instrumental in this victory, with Reese Mcconnell making an outstanding 54 saves from 55 shots. On the other side of the ice, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed 31 saves from 35 shots.

The powerplay didn’t prove fruitful for either team, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats going 0/4. However, the Bobcats managed to capitalize on their opportunities, with #26 Nicola Roberts contributing one of the four goals. The Pokes’ only goal came from #2 Zoey Brown.
