Monday evening saw the Montana State University Bobcats secure a decisive 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes at Haynes Pavilion. The game, which took place on February 7th, 2026, was an exciting display of skill and strategy from both teams.

Despite the Pokes outshooting the Bobcats 55 to 35, the Bobcats managed to convert their shots into goals more effectively, resulting in their win. The Bobcats’ goalkeeper, Reese McConnell, was in top form, saving an impressive 54 out of 55 shots. On the other side, the Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, managed 31 saves out of the 35 shots he faced.

While both teams’ powerplay attempts fell short, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats 0/4, the Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts and the Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown each managed to score a goal.

After this victory, the Bobcats are looking forward to their next game at home against the University of Utah.
