The Montana State University Bobcats showcased their mettle in a thrilling hockey match against the University of Wyoming Pokes on February 7, 2026. The Bobcats emerged victorious with a final score of 4-1, despite being outshot by the Pokes 55 to 35.

The game, held at the Haynes Pavilion, saw both teams unable to capitalize on their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats 0/4. However, the Bobcats’ defense, led by goalie Reese Mcconnell, was the star of the show. McConnell made an impressive 54 saves out of 55 shots, only letting one through.

On the other hand, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed 31 saves out of 35 shots. The only goal for the Pokes came from #2 Zoey Brown, while the Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts also scored a goal.
