In a thrilling display of skill and strategy, the Montana State University Bobcats secured a decisive victory against the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The game took place on February 7, 2026, at the Haynes Pavilion.
Despite the Pokes taking more shots at the goal, with a total of 55 attempts compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats demonstrated an impressive defense. Their goalie, Reese McConnell, made a staggering 54 saves out of 55 shots. On the other side, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed to save 31 out of 35 shots.
The powerplay attempts from both teams did not yield any goals, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats 0/4. However, the Bobcats’ #26, Nicola Roberts, and Pokes’ #2, Zoey Brown, each managed to score a goal.
