The Montana State University Bobcats demonstrated their prowess on the ice last night, defeating the University of Wyoming Pokes 4-1 in a thrilling game at Haynes Pavilion.

Despite a lower shot count (35 to the Pokes’ 55), the Bobcats’ precision and strategy paid off, with #26 Nicola Roberts securing a crucial goal. The Pokes fought hard, with #2 Zoey Brown scoring their only goal of the night.

A major highlight of the game was the performance of Bobcats goalie Reese McConnell, who made a staggering 54 saves out of 55 shots. On the other end, Pokes goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed 31 saves out of 35 shots.

Both teams struggled with their powerplay, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats slightly worse at 0/4. Despite this, the Bobcats managed to maintain their lead and secure the win.

The Bobcats will look to carry this momentum into their next game against the University of Utah. The match will take place on Friday, February 20, at 7:30 pm MST at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. Fans are eagerly anticipating another display of the Bobcats’ ice hockey prowess.
