In a thrilling showdown at the Haynes Pavilion, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. Despite the Pokes outshooting the Bobcats 55-35, the Bobcats’ superior defense and efficient offense secured the win.
The Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had a stellar night, saving 54 out of the 55 shots taken by the Pokes. On the other side, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed to save 31 out of 35 shots.
While both teams struggled with their powerplay, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats going 0/4, the Bobcats managed to capitalize on their opportunities. Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts scored one of the decisive goals, while Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown managed to net one for her team.
