The Montana State University Bobcats secured a resounding victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The game, held at Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026, saw the Bobcats showcasing their defensive prowess.
Despite the Pokes firing off an impressive 55 shots, the Bobcats’ goaltender, Reese McConnell, was on top form, saving 54 of those attempts. On the other side of the ice, Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, faced 35 shots and managed to save 31.
The game was not without its share of missed opportunities, as both teams failed to capitalize on their powerplay chances. The Pokes went 0 for 3, while the Bobcats were 0 for 4.
The only goal for the Pokes came from #2 Zoey Brown, while the Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts showed her mettle by scoring a goal.
