In a riveting showdown at Haynes Pavilion, the Montana State University Bobcats outplayed the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1 on February 7th.

Despite the Pokes dominating the shooting circle with a total of 55 shots, compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats showed their mettle by converting their chances more clinically. Both teams struggled to capitalize on their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats slightly worse at 0/4.

The goalkeeping was a highlight of the match, with Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, making 31 saves out of 35 shots. However, the star of the night was undoubtedly Bobcats’ Reese Mcconnell, who put on a stellar performance with 54 saves out of 55 shots.

The scorers for the night were Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts, both contributing a goal each to their respective teams.

The Bobcats will look to carry this momentum into their next game, a home fixture against the University of Utah on February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. Fans will be eagerly awaiting another electrifying performance from the team.
