Last night, the Montana State University Bobcats took home a significant victory against the University of Wyoming Pokes, ending the game with a final score of 4-1. The game took place at Haynes Pavilion, where the Bobcats showcased their impressive defensive skills.
Despite the Pokes firing a staggering 55 shots at the Bobcats’ goal, they only managed to score once. This is largely thanks to the stellar performance of Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, who saved 54 out of the 55 shots. On the other hand, the Bobcats took 35 shots at the Pokes’ goal, with Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash saving 31.
The Pokes’ only goal came from #2 Zoey Brown, while Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts also netted a goal. Both teams struggled with their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0 for 3 and the Bobcats going 0 for 4.
The Bobcats’ victory over the Pokes is a significant boost for the team, and they will be looking to carry this momentum into their next game. The Bobcats will be playing at home against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink.
Stay tuned for what promises to be another exciting game in the Bobcats’ season.
