In an exhilarating match last night, the Montana State University Bobcats celebrated a decisive victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The game was held at the Haynes Pavilion and saw the Bobcats making the most of their 35 shots, compared to the Pokes’ 55.
Despite the Pokes’ aggressive offense, their powerplay was unsuccessful 0 out of 3 times, while the Bobcats also struggled with a 0 out of 4 powerplay ratio. This didn’t deter the Bobcats, however, as they managed to secure a solid win.
Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash faced a challenging game, saving 31 out of 35 shots. On the other side of the rink, Bobcats’ Reese McConnell put on an impressive show, saving an astounding 54 out of 55 shots.
Scoring for the teams were Pokes’ Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ Nicola Roberts, each contributing one goal. Their performance added to the overall intensity of the game and kept the audience on the edge of their seats.
The Bobcats are now looking forward to their next game, a home match against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. After their triumphant win over the Pokes, the Bobcats are geared up to continue their winning streak.
