The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough loss against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes yesterday at AZ Ice Arcadia, with a final score of 0-1. Despite a strong defensive performance, the Bobcats could not find the back of the net, falling short in a low-scoring game.

The Antelopes dominated the game in terms of shots, with a total of 52 compared to the Bobcats’ 28. Both teams had equal powerplay opportunities, but neither could capitalize, ending the game with a 0/4 powerplay record.

Bobcats goalie, Reese McConnell, had a busy night, facing 52 shots and making 51 saves. On the other side, Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, managed to keep a clean sheet, saving all 28 shots she faced.

The only goal of the game came from Antelopes’ #5, Taylor Zahalka. Meanwhile, Bobcats’ #19, Aziana Schacht, received 2 penalty minutes, adding to the team’s challenges on the ice.

The Bobcats will have to regroup quickly as they prepare for their next game. They will be facing off against the University of Arizona on Saturday, January 31 at AZ Ice Peoria. Despite the loss, the Bobcats are looking forward to bouncing back and showing their resilience.
