In a thrilling showdown at the AZ Ice Arcadia, the Montana State University Bobcats managed to pull off a 3-2 victory against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes. Despite being heavily outshot, the Bobcats proved that quality trumps quantity in this high-stakes game.

The Antelopes dominated the ice with a staggering 55 shots, but the Bobcats’ stellar defense and exceptional goaltending by Reese Mcconnell, who saved 53 shots, kept them at bay. The Bobcats, on the other hand, made their 23 shots count, with #26 Nicola Roberts leading the charge with two decisive goals.

Both teams had their chances on the powerplay. The Bobcats capitalized on 50% of their opportunities, scoring twice on four powerplays. The Antelopes managed to convert one of their three powerplays into a goal, thanks to #17 Abigail Brigg.

The Antelopes’ goalie, Sydney Fornwald, faced a barrage of 23 shots and managed to save 20, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Bobcats from clinching the victory.

This win gives the Bobcats a much-needed boost as they prepare for their next game at home against the University of Wyoming. The game is set to take place on Friday, February 6th, at the Haynes Pavilion. Be sure to come out and support your Bobcats as they look to continue their winning streak.
