In a thrilling encounter on the ice, the Montana State University Bobcats managed to secure a narrow victory over the Grand Canyon University Antelopes, with a final score of 3-2. The game took place at AZ Ice Arcadia on February 1, 2026.

Despite being outshot by a significant margin, with the Antelopes firing off 55 shots to the Bobcats’ 23, the Bobcats showed exceptional resilience. Their goalie, Reese McConnell, was the star of the show, making an impressive 53 saves.

The Bobcats’ powerplay was also on point, converting 2 out of 4 opportunities. The Antelopes, on the other hand, could only manage to score on one of their three powerplay chances.

Nicola Roberts of the Bobcats was the standout player, scoring two crucial goals. Abigail Brigg of the Antelopes also put up a good fight, scoring one goal.

Despite the Antelopes’ goalie, Sydney Fornwald, making 20 saves, it was not enough to hold back the determined Bobcats.

The Bobcats are now looking forward to their next game, a home fixture against the University of Wyoming on February 6 at Haynes Pavilion. It promises to be another exciting match, and the Bobcats will be hoping to continue their winning streak.
