The Montana State University Bobcats put up a valiant effort against the Colorado State University Rams on October 4th, 2025, but unfortunately came up short with a final score of 2-3. The game, which took place at Edora Pool Ice Center in Colorado, saw the Bobcats making 25 shots, while the Rams made an impressive 37.

Despite having more powerplay opportunities (7) compared to the Rams (4), the Bobcats were unable to convert any into goals. The same held true for the Rams, who also failed to take advantage of their powerplays.

Bobcats goalie, Reese McConnell, had a busy night with 37 shots coming his way. He managed to save 34 of those, conceding only 3. On the other end of the rink, Rams’ Elizabeth Condon faced 25 shots and saved 23.

The Bobcats’ only goal came from #22 Rylan Lorentz, while Rams’ #5 Megan McDougall contributed significantly to her team’s success with 2 assists.

The Bobcats will have another chance to square off against the Rams on Sunday, October 5th, again at the Edora Pool Ice Center. They will be hoping to turn the tables and come out on top in this rematch.
