The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging match against the Colorado State University Rams on October 4th, 2025. Despite a valiant effort, the Bobcats fell to the Rams with a final score of 2-3 at the Edora Pool Ice Center in Colorado.

The Bobcats launched 25 shots towards the Rams’ goal, but only managed to find the back of the net twice. On the other side, the Rams had a more aggressive approach with 37 shots, three of which beat Bobcats’ goalie Reese Mcconnell.

Despite the loss, Mcconnell had an impressive game, saving 34 out of 37 shots. Rams’ goalie Elizabeth Condon also had a solid performance, stopping 23 out of 25 shots.

The Bobcats’ powerplay opportunities didn’t yield any goals, with a 0/7 conversion rate. The Rams also struggled to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, going 0/4.

Highlighting individual performances, Bobcats’ #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to score a goal. On the Rams’ side, #5 Megan McDougall provided two assists, contributing significantly to their victory.

The Bobcats will have another shot at the Rams tomorrow, October 5th, at the Edora Pool Ice Center. The team will be looking to bounce back and even the score in this back-to-back series.
