The Montana State University Bobcats put up a valiant fight against the Colorado State University Rams, but ultimately fell short with a final score of 2-3 in yesterday’s game at the Edora Pool Ice Center.
The Bobcats managed to get 25 shots off, but the Rams’ defense was on point, with their goalie Elizabeth Condon making 23 saves from those attempts. Despite the loss, Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had an impressive game himself, making 34 saves out of the 37 shots by the Rams.
The powerplay opportunities for both teams were unfruitful, with the Bobcats standing at 0/7 and the Rams at 0/4.
One of the highlights of the game for the Bobcats was #22 Rylan Lorentz, who managed to score a goal. On the Rams’ side, #5 Megan McDougall provided two assists, contributing to their victory.
The Bobcats will face the Rams again in an away game at the Edora Pool Ice Center on Sunday, October 5. Despite the setback, the Bobcats’ spirit remains unbroken, and they are determined to put up a strong performance in the upcoming rematch.
