In an electrifying showdown at the Edora Pool Ice Center, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over the Colorado State University Rams on October 5th, 2025.
Despite the Rams having a slight edge in shots, with 45 compared to the Bobcats’ 43, the Bobcats proved more efficient in making their attempts count. The powerplay statistics for both teams were not particularly impressive, with the Bobcats going 0/1 and the Rams going 0/4. However, the Bobcats’ resilience and determination shone through in the final score.
Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had an exceptional game, facing 45 shots and making an impressive 44 saves. On the other end, Rams’ goalie, Morgan Neibauer, faced 43 shots and made 40 saves.
The goal-scorers for the game were Bobcats’ #4 Maeve Kelleher and Rams’ #20 Emme Coquet, each netting one goal. Kelleher’s goal proved crucial in securing the win for the Bobcats.
