Montana State University Bobcats secured an impressive 3-1 victory over Colorado State University Rams in a thrilling game at the Edora Pool Ice Center on October 5, 2025.

The Bobcats showed their prowess on the ice, taking 43 shots compared to the Rams’ 45. However, it was the precision of the Bobcats that won the day, with three of their shots finding the back of the net. The Rams, despite their best efforts, could only manage one goal.

Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, put up a stellar performance by saving 44 out of 45 shots. On the other side, Rams’ goalie Morgan Neibauer also showed resilience with 40 saves from 43 shots.

The powerplay opportunities were few and far between with the Bobcats having only one chance which they couldn’t convert. The Rams had four powerplay opportunities but failed to capitalize on any of them.

Bobcats’ #4 Maeve Kelleher and Rams’ #20 Emme Coquet each scored a goal, contributing to the final scoreline.

The Bobcats are now looking forward to their next game, which will be a home match against the University of Colorado on Friday, October 17 at Haynes Pavilion.
