In an impressive display of skill and strategy, the Montana State University Bobcats secured an 11-0 victory against the University of Washington Huskies at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Washington.
From the first face-off, the Bobcats dominated the ice. With a total of 45 shots, the Bobcats kept the Huskies on their toes throughout the game. The Huskies, on the other hand, managed only 24 shots, all of which were expertly saved by Bobcats goalie, Reese McConnell.
McConnell’s performance was a key factor in the Bobcats’ victory. Facing 24 shots, he maintained a perfect save record, denying the Huskies any opportunity to get on the scoreboard. The Huskies’ goalie, Yasmine Mohamed, faced a barrage of 45 shots, managing to save 34.
One player who stood out for the Bobcats was number 10, Faith Hobbs, who scored 2 goals, contributing significantly to the team’s victory. On the other hand, the Huskies’ Malia Wood, number 19, had a tough night with 0 penalty minutes.
Neither team had any powerplay opportunities, keeping the game at even strength throughout.
The Bobcats’ next game is also against the Huskies, on Saturday, October 25, at the Kraken Community Iceplex. If their previous performance is anything to go by, the Bobcats are set for another thrilling match.
