Bobcats Shutout Huskies in Dominant Display
The Montana State University Bobcats delivered an outstanding performance against the University of Washington Huskies, ending the game with a resounding 12-0 victory at the Kraken Community Iceplex.
In an encounter that was one-sided from the start, the Bobcats outshot the Huskies 41-11. The Bobcats’ powerplay was efficient, scoring once in five opportunities while the Huskies failed to convert any of their two chances.
The Bobcats’ goalie, Reese Mcconnell, had an exceptional game, stopping all 11 shots faced, earning him a well-deserved shutout. On the other side of the rink, Huskies’ netminder Yasmine Mohamed faced a barrage of shots, making 29 saves on 41 shots.
The standout performer of the night was undoubtedly the Bobcats’ #4 Maeve Kelleher who netted a hat trick, contributing significantly to the Bobcats’ victory. On the Huskies’ side, #55 Jocelynn Delamerced had a challenging night, ending the game with 4 penalty minutes.
