The Montana State University Bobcats delivered a crushing defeat to the University of Washington Huskies last night, with a final score of 12-0. The game, held at the Kraken Community Iceplex, was a true showcase of the Bobcats’ offensive prowess and defensive solidity.
The Bobcats dominated the game from the get-go, peppering the Huskies’ net with a staggering 41 shots. In contrast, the Huskies managed a mere 11 shots, all of which were expertly saved by Bobcats’ goalie, Reese Mcconnell. The Bobcats’ powerplay was also on point, scoring once in five attempts, while the Huskies failed to capitalize on their two powerplay opportunities.
The star of the night was undoubtedly Bobcats’ #4, Maeve Kelleher, who netted an impressive hat trick. On the other side, Huskies’ #55, Jocelynn Delamerced, spent the most time in the penalty box with 4 minutes.
Huskies’ goalie, Yasmine Mohamed, despite being under relentless pressure, made commendable 29 saves out of the 41 shots. However, the Bobcats’ offensive onslaught proved too much for her to handle.
Looking forward, the Bobcats will be taking on the University of Denver next, on Friday, November 14 at 11:40 am MST at the Family Sports Center. After their dominant performance against the Huskies, the Bobcats will surely be entering the game with high spirits and confidence.
