The Montana State University Bobcats put up a valiant fight against the University of Utah Utes but ultimately fell short with a final score of 5-2. The game took place on February 20th, 2026 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.

The Utes came out strong, putting up 38 shots against the Bobcats’ 31. Despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, they were unable to capitalize on their two power play opportunities, while the Utes did not have any.

The Bobcats’ goaltender, Reese McConnell, had a busy night with 38 shots fired his way. He managed to save 33 of these shots, leaving the Utes with their 5 goals. On the other side of the ice, the Utes’ Miranda De Antunano stopped 29 of the 31 shots she faced.

Shining for the Utes was #12 Morgan Lavalley, who netted two goals. On the Bobcats’ side, #18 Elly Aldrich put one on the board.
