Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough defeat against the University of Utah Utes this past weekend at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Utes, despite a valiant effort from the Bobcats.
The Utes dominated the game with 38 shots, while the Bobcats came close with 31. Both teams had opportunities for power plays, but only the Bobcats managed to convert, albeit unsuccessfully with a 0/2 record. The Utes didn’t have any power play opportunities.
In the goal, Utes’ Miranda De Antunano had an impressive game, saving 29 out of 31 shots. On the Bobcats’ side, Reese McConnell also put up a good fight, saving 33 out of 38 shots.
The standout player of the match was undoubtedly Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley, who scored two crucial goals. For the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich managed to score a goal, displaying her offensive prowess.
