The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough match against the University of Utah Utes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. Despite a valiant effort, the Bobcats fell to the Utes with a final score of 5-2.

The Utes showed a strong offensive game, launching 38 shots against Bobcats’ netminder Reese Mcconnell, who made 33 saves. On the other side, the Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano faced 31 shots, making 29 saves.

In a game where every shot counted, the Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley managed to find the back of the net twice, contributing significantly to their victory. For the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich stood out, scoring one of the two goals.

The powerplay opportunities were few and far between. The Utes did not have any powerplay opportunities, while the Bobcats had two but were unable to capitalize on them.
