Despite a valiant effort, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes in a hard-fought game at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The final score was Utes 5, Bobcats 2.

Both teams displayed strong offensive plays, with the Utes managing 38 shots on goal while the Bobcats had 31. However, the Utes were able to capitalize on their opportunities more effectively, resulting in their victory.

The Bobcats had two power play opportunities during the game but were unable to convert either into a goal. On the other hand, the Utes did not have any power play opportunities.

In goal for the Bobcats was Reese McConnell, who made an impressive 33 saves on 38 shots. The Utes’ Miranda De Antunano stopped 29 out of 31 shots.

One of the standout players of the game was the Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley, who scored two goals. For the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich managed to find the back of the net once.
