The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging night on the ice against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes on February 21, 2026. The final score was a hard pill to swallow, with the Antelopes coming out on top at 7-1.
The game took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado, and it’s fair to say the Bobcats were outgunned from the start. The Antelopes dominated the game with a total of 64 shots on goal, compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Antelopes also had a successful power play, scoring once out of three attempts. Unfortunately, the Bobcats couldn’t convert on either of their two power play opportunities.
In the goaltending department, the Antelopes’ Annika Olson had a solid performance with 18 saves out of 19 shots. On the other side of the rink, the Bobcats’ Emma Carlson faced a barrage of shots, making 57 saves out of 64 attempts.
The star player of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ Jennae Szucs, who managed to score an impressive hat trick. For the Bobcats, Marin Snyder was the lone scorer, managing to find the back of the net once.
