The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough defeat against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes on the ice last night. The final score was a disappointing 7-1 in favor of the Antelopes. The game took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
The Antelopes took control of the game from the start, landing a staggering 64 shots against the Bobcats’ 19. Their powerplay was also more effective, scoring once in three tries, while the Bobcats couldn’t capitalize on any of their two powerplay opportunities.
In the goal, the Antelopes’ Annika Olson put on an impressive performance, saving 18 out of 19 shots. On the other hand, Bobcats’ Emma Carlson had a challenging night, faced with a barrage of 64 shots, she managed to save 57.
Highlighting individual performances, Antelopes’ number 12, Jennae Szucs, had a remarkable night, scoring a hat trick. For the Bobcats, number 20, Marin Snyder, managed to put one on the board.
