In an exhilarating display of skill and teamwork, the Montana State University Bobcats clinched an impressive victory against the University of Washington Huskies at the Kraken Community Iceplex on October 24, 2025. The Bobcats dominated the ice with an overwhelming 11-0 win, leaving the Huskies in their wake.
The Bobcats showed their offensive prowess with a total of 45 shots, while the Huskies managed only 24. Despite the Huskies’ best efforts, they could not penetrate the Bobcats’ defense, which was brilliantly led by goalie Reese McConnell. McConnell proved to be an impenetrable wall, saving all 24 shots aimed at him. The Huskies’ goalie, Yasmine Mohamed, despite facing a barrage of shots, saved 34 out of the 45.
One of the night’s standout performances was by Bobcats’ #22, Rylan Lorentz, who scored two goals, further cementing the team’s dominance. On the other side, the Huskies failed to make a mark, with #55 Jocelynn Delamerced not recording any penalty minutes.
Despite the high intensity of the game, neither team had a chance to showcase their powerplay skills, with both teams at 0/0.
The Bobcats will be looking to continue their winning streak when they face the Huskies again on October 25, at the same venue. The Huskies, on the other hand, will need to regroup and strategize if they hope to challenge the Bobcats in the upcoming game.
