In a thrilling hockey match at the Haynes Pavilion on October 18, 2025, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious over the University of Colorado Buffaloes with a final score of 3-1.

Despite the Buffaloes having a higher number of shots at 32 compared to the Bobcats’ 26, the Bobcats managed to secure a win. Both teams had an equal powerplay of 0/4, but the Bobcats were able to capitalize on their opportunities more effectively.

The game saw outstanding performances from both teams’ goalies. The Buffaloes’ Zoe Watson faced 26 shots and made 23 saves, while the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell faced 32 shots, making an impressive 31 saves.

For the Buffaloes, Anna Masiello (#6) scored the lone goal. However, the star of the match was undoubtedly the Bobcats’ Nicola Roberts (#26) who scored two goals, leading her team to victory.

The Bobcats’ next match will be an away game against the University of Washington on Friday, October 24, at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Washington. The team will be looking to continue their winning streak and we’re all excited to see what they bring to the ice next.
