The Montana State University Bobcats made an impressive statement on the ice last night with a resounding 11-0 victory over the University of Washington Huskies. The game, held at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Washington, saw the Bobcats dominate from start to finish.
The Bobcats took a staggering 45 shots, compared to the Huskies’ 24. Despite the disparity, neither team was able to capitalize on powerplays, with both teams going 0 for 0.
Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had an exceptional night, stopping all 24 shots he faced. On the other end of the ice, Huskies’ Yasmine Mohamed faced a barrage of shots, making 34 saves on 45 shots.
Bobcats’ #22, Rylan Lorentz, was a standout player of the night, scoring two goals in the game. On the Huskies’ side, #6 Julia Rostas was kept quiet with 0 penalty minutes.
