In an electrifying display of skill and teamwork, the Montana State University Bobcats hockey team trounced the University of Washington Huskies with a staggering 11-0 scoreline. The game, held at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Washington, showcased the Bobcats’ offensive prowess as they fired 45 shots at the Huskies’ goal.
Despite the Huskies’ 24 shots, Bobcats’ goaltender Reese McConnell stood like a wall, saving all attempts and ensuring a clean sheet for his team. His counterpart, Yasmine Mohamed of the Huskies, faced a barrage of attacks from the Bobcats and managed to save 34 out of 45 shots.
The star of the night was undoubtedly Bobcats’ #4 Maeve Kelleher, who netted two goals, contributing significantly to the team’s commanding lead. On the other hand, the Huskies struggled to find their footing, with Paige Garnes #18 not picking up any penalty minutes.
Interestingly, both teams did not have any powerplay opportunities throughout the match, making the Bobcats’ victory even more remarkable as all goals came from open play.
The Bobcats look forward to carrying this momentum into their next game, which is also against the University of Washington Huskies at the Kraken Community Iceplex. If this game was any indication, the Huskies will have to step up their game to stand a chance against the formidable Bobcats.
