The Montana State University Bobcats made a resounding statement on the ice last night, shutting out the University of Washington Huskies with a commanding 12-0 victory at the Kraken Community Iceplex.

The Bobcats demonstrated their offensive prowess by firing a whopping 41 shots on the Huskies’ net. Their relentless attack was met with little resistance from the Huskies, who managed a mere 11 shots in return. The Bobcats’ powerplay was also in fine form, converting 1 of their 5 opportunities, while the Huskies failed to capitalize on either of their 2 powerplays.

The star of the night was undoubtedly the Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell. McConnell was a wall in the net, stopping all 11 shots he faced and earning a well-deserved shutout. On the other end of the ice, the Huskies’ Yasmine Mohamed had a tough night, making 29 saves on 41 shots.

Bobcats’ #4 Maeve Kelleher had a game to remember, netting a hat trick. Huskies’ #55 Jocelynn Delamerced, on the other hand, had a night to forget, spending 4 minutes in the penalty box.

Looking ahead, the Bobcats will be looking to maintain their winning momentum when they travel to face the University of Denver at the Family Sports Center on November 14th. With their performance against the Huskies as an indicator, the Bobcats are a team to watch this season.
