In a thrilling display of skill and strategy, the Montana State University Bobcats secured a convincing 5-0 win over the University of Denver Pioneers at the Family Sports Center on November 14, 2025. The Bobcats were clearly the dominant force on the ice, outshooting the Pioneers 48-25.

The Bobcats’ offensive prowess was on full display with #6 Erin Gallagher leading the charge, netting two impressive goals. Despite three powerplay opportunities for each team, neither the Bobcats nor the Pioneers were able to capitalize, leaving the game a 5-0 shutout in favor of the Bobcats.

The Bobcats’ defense was equally impressive, with goalie Reese McConnell delivering a stellar performance. Facing 25 shots, McConnell successfully saved each one, contributing significantly to the Bobcats’ victory. On the other hand, Pioneers’ goalie Leia Schaefer had a challenging game, saving 43 out of 48 shots.

The Pioneers’ #12 Samantha Brennan found herself in the penalty box, serving 2 minutes for her team. However, the Bobcats were unable to utilize this advantage to score during the powerplay.
