The Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes on the ice at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink this past weekend. It was a challenging game for our Bobcats, with the final score reflecting a 7-1 victory for the Antelopes.

The Antelopes came out strong, firing off a staggering 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Antelopes’ powerplay was successful 1 out of 3 times, while the Bobcats struggled, unable to convert on either of their two powerplay opportunities.

Goalie Annika Olson of the Antelopes had a solid performance, facing 19 shots and making 18 saves. On the other side of the ice, Bobcats’ Emma Carlson put up a valiant effort, making 57 saves on 64 shots.

The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who netted an impressive hat trick. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder managed to put one past Olson, providing the lone goal for the team.

Despite the tough loss, the Bobcats showed resilience and determination. As they regroup and prepare for their next game, they’ll be looking to learn from this experience and come back stronger.
