The Montana State University Bobcats secured a commanding 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes in a thrilling game at the Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026. Despite being outshot by the Pokes 55-35, the Bobcats’ superior finishing and exceptional goalkeeping ensured their victory.
The Pokes’ powerplay was 0/3, while the Bobcats’ was 0/4, proving that neither team could capitalize on their powerplay opportunities. Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, put up an outstanding performance, saving 54 out of 55 shots. On the other side, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash saved 31 out of 35 shots, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Bobcats at bay.
The goals for the game were scored by Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts. Despite the Pokes’ best efforts, they were unable to match the Bobcats’ firepower.
The Bobcats now look forward to their next game, a home match against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. The team will be hoping to build on this victory and continue their winning streak.
