The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough battle against the University of Utah Utes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on February 20th, 2026. The final score was a disappointing 5-2 in favor of the Utes.

The Utes dominated the game from the start, with a total of 38 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 31. Despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, the Utes’ defense proved too strong, and their goalie, Miranda De Antunano, managed to save 29 out of 31 shots.

The Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had a challenging night, saving 33 out of 38 shots. The Bobcats’ powerplay was 0/2, which certainly didn’t help their cause.
