Last night, the Montana State University Bobcats took down the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The game took place at the Haynes Pavilion, and despite the 20-shot difference, the Bobcats managed to secure their victory.
The Pokes made 55 shots, but only one found the back of the net. Pokes’ #2, Zoey Brown, scored the only goal for the team. Their powerplay attempts were unsuccessful with a 0/3 record.
On the other side, the Bobcats made 35 shots, four of which resulted in goals. Bobcats’ #26, Nicola Roberts, was among the players who scored. Despite fewer shots, the Bobcats were more efficient, but they also had a 0/4 record on powerplays.
The goalies on both sides had a busy night. Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, faced 35 shots and made 31 saves. On the other hand, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell had a more challenging task facing 55 shots and making an impressive 54 saves.
