The Montana State University Bobcats showed their prowess on ice last night with a commanding 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes. Despite being outshot 55 to 35, the Bobcats’ solid defense and the exceptional performance by goalie Reese McConnell proved too much for the Pokes.
The game, held at Haynes Pavilion, saw the Bobcats put up an impressive performance. Despite the Pokes having a higher number of shots, the Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, made a staggering 54 saves out of 55 shots, illustrating the strength of the Bobcats’ defense.
The Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, had 31 saves out of 35 shots. Both teams were unable to capitalize on their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0 for 3 and the Bobcats 0 for 4.
