In a hard-fought game at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats succumbed to the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2. Despite the Bobcats’ spirited performance, the Utes managed to maintain their lead throughout the game.
The Utes outshot the Bobcats with a total of 38 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 31. However, neither team was able to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, with the Utes at 0/0 and the Bobcats at 0/2.
The Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, put up a solid performance with 29 saves out of 31 shots. On the other side of the rink, Bobcats’ Reese McConnell ended the game with 33 saves out of 38 shots.
Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley stood out with 2 goals, while Bobcats’ #18 Elly Aldrich managed to put one past the Utes’ goalie.
Despite the loss, the Bobcats are looking forward to their next game at home against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The team remains hopeful and determined to bounce back stronger.
